Lower Columbia College Red Devils

Misty played just one season at LCC, but it was a dominant one. Powered with a nearly un-hittable rise ball, Velke pitched the 2000 Red Devils to the NWAC championship, striking out a school-record 370 batters. The R.A. Long high school star spent her freshman season at the University of San Diego, where she was the top pitcher for the Torreros. She came back home to finish her playing career at LCC, then began a decades long career as a teacher in the Longview School District.
