Lower Columbia College Red Devils

Laulainen played two seasons of football at Lower Columbia where he garnered all-league honors as a running back and defensive back. Ed went on to play two more seasons at Eastern Washington, where he was named team captain.  Laulainen went on to a Hall of Fame career as head football coach at Kelso High School, leading the Hilanders to the 1983 State Championship.
