Mark Hulings, Baseball
While Lindemann was the pitching star of the 1990 Red Devils, Mark Hulings was the offensive star. The R.A. Long grad was named the NWAC tournament MVP, going 11 for 20 with four doubles, two triples, a homer and five RBI's. It capped off an impressive two-year run at Lower Columbia where Huling's displayed power at the plate, a big arm in the outfield and a motor that cranked up the Devil machine.
Hulings went on to play at Linfield University where he hit five homers and drove in 32 runs for the 1992 Wildcats.
Hulings gave back his love of baseball while serving as the head coach of the R.A. Long Lumberjacks and many Legion and Babe Ruth teams. He also coached with the Cowlitz Black Bears one season.
