Prior to graduating from Evergreen (Vancouver) High School in 1992, Michelle grew up in Longview and attended softball camps and hitting clinics put on by Red Devils Coach Tim Mackin. That had a lot to do with her committing to return to Longview to begin her college softball career – and we are glad she did.

In her two years at LCC, Paull established herself as one of the all-time Red Devil softball greats. She still holds LCC records for batting average in a season (.558) and triples (13). Mackin, a catcher in his playing days – credits her as being the best catcher he ever coached, who made the Red Devil pitchers better and routinely gunned down even the NWAC’s best stealers.

Paull sustained a serious knee injury late in her sophomore season in 1994, but came back two weeks later to lead Lower Columbia to its first ever NWAC championship and was selected as the tournament MVP.

Softball remained a big part of Michelle’s life as she has played on several high level women’s teams, many which went on to win national championships.

Michelle lives in Vancouver with her husband RJ Jacoby and their children Nicole, Danielle and Gracie.  Michelle is a support service specialist for the Bonneville Power Administration.
