LONGVIEW, WA. – The Lower Columbia College men's basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday night, routing the Grays Harbor Chokers 93-48 at Myklebust Gym. With the win, the Red Devils improved to 15-4 overall and 5-2 in league play, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense, particularly in a blowout second half.
While the first half was relatively competitive, with LCC taking a 42-29 lead into the locker room, the Red Devils exploded after the break. Lower Columbia outscored Grays Harbor 51-19 in the second half, shooting a blistering 56.7% from the field in the final period while holding the Chokers to just 22.2% shooting.
Dominance in the paint was the story of the night, with LCC outscoring Grays Harbor 44-12 inside. The Red Devils also controlled the glass, outrebounding the visitors 42-24. The team's unselfish play was on full display with 23 assists on 34 made field goals.
