(Longview, WA) The Red Devils almost made it look too easy on Wednesday, Feb. 21, as they defeated Centralia 84-63 to secure the NWAC west region championship for the fifth consecutive time.
Before the start of the game the, in front of a pack Myklebust gym, the Devils took some time to recognize and honor their three sophomore players.

Kaden Horn, and
Jonah Zeller have been outstanding this year and we look forward to following them as they move on to the next chapter in their lives and basketball careers, but the work is not done yet.
The first half, the two teams looked pretty even with the trailblazers shooting 42% to the Devils 44%. Centralia was keeping it close but the Devils were methodical and just kept with the game plan. Lower Columbia took a 36-29 lead into the locker rooms at the half.
During the halftime, LCC recognized two new inductees into the Red Devils Hall of Fame. Mark Hulings and Wayne Lindemann, both were members of the 1990 NWAC Baseball championship team.
Once the game resumed the Devils started right were they left off, shooting 45.5% from the floor and 71% from the FT stripe. LCC out hustled Centralia on the boards pulling down 14 offensive board to 7 for the blazers, leading to 22 second points for the Devils.
Lower Columbia finished the night shooting 45% from the floor, 29% from the arc, and 65.7% from the free throw line.
McCoy lead the Devils with 18 pts and 9 rbs
Kobe Parlin put up 17 pts, 9 rbs, and 5 ast.
David Young was outstanding with 14 points, 6 rbs, an assist, a block, and a steal.
Horn was 9-10 from the free throw line leading to 11 points and pulled down 7 boards with 3 assists.
Malik Brown had 9 points and 5 rebounds on the night.
Next up for the Red Devils is a road game vs the Highline Thunderbirds on Saturday, Feb. 24 in Des Moines, WA. Tip is set for 2:00 pm.
