Lower Columbia Rolls Past Pacific JV

(Longview, WA) In a commanding performance at Myklebust Gym on November 23, the Red Devils defeated the Pacific University Boxers JV team, securing a 71-46 victory to maintain their undefeated record.

The Red Devils showcased their offensive efficiency, shooting an impressive 48.1% from the field and a solid 37.5% from beyond the arc. Defensively, they held Pacific to just 28.6% shooting and forced 21 turnovers, converting those into 13 points.

Balanced Team Effort Leading the way for Lower Columbia was Amir Locus, who scored 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds and adding a block. Keshawn Lewis contributed 11 points, all from the free-throw line (7-for-7), alongside three assists and two steals.

Kap Laila added eight points and five rebounds, while David Young and James Grose each chipped in eight points, combining for four three-pointers.

Defensive Prowess The Red Devils' defense was stifling, amassing seven blocks and nine steals. Camryn Berry was a standout, swatting five shots and collecting five rebounds.

Lower Columbia also controlled the boards with 33 total rebounds, including a strong showing on the defensive glass with 27.

Game Flow Lower Columbia set the tone early, taking a 34-20 lead into halftime. They built on their advantage in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 25 points.

Pacific struggled to find offensive rhythm, with Miles Hornage leading their effort with 14 points and four rebounds. Despite their fight, the Boxers were outmatched by Lower Columbia's depth and execution.

The Red Devils, now 3-0, will look to continue their strong start as they prepare for the upcoming Red Devil Classic.
