Kobe Parlin drops 27 points to lead the Red Devils to an 83-69 win over the South Puget Sound Clippers at Myklebust gym on Thursday, January 18.
The Red Devils were burning up the court from start to finish on Thursday night. The first half saw the Devils shooting 63.64% from the floor, 33.33% from the 3pt arc, and 84.62% from the free throw stripe. The Clippers struggled to keep up with 34.62% Field Goal shooting, and going 2 for 13 in 3pt shots at 15.38%. Lower Columbia took a 10 point, 40-30, lead into the locker rooms at the half.
The second half, LCC, got out to a 21 point lead with 14 minutes to go. South Puget tried to make a game of it cutting the deficit to -9 with 10 minutes to go. But, that would be the closet they would get as the Devils continued to their hot shooting to defeat the Clippers by +14, 83-69.
LCC finished the night with a FG% of 57.7, 18.2% 3pt shooting, and 84% FT shooting.
Parlin finished the night with 27 points and 3 rebounds
Carter McCoy was once again outstanding with 15 points, 5 rebounds, a block and a steal.
Jonah Zeller added 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Keshawn Lewis also had 12 points along with 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
Top scorer for the Clippers was Jazen Guillory with 20 buckets and 5 rebounds.
The win keeps the Red Devils at the top of the West Region standings and tied with the Pierce Raiders at 3-0.
It just so happens that the Raiders and Devils will face off this Saturday, January 20, on the LCC home court at 7:00 pm.
