(Longview, WA) Lower Columbia is the last remaining undefeated team in west region league play after 70-57 win over Pierce Raiders on Saturday, January 20, at Myklebust gym.
It wasn't the best shooting night for the Red Devils, as they were only 46% from the floor for the night, but they made the shots when it counted.
Lower Columbia held a slim 6 point lead at the half, which was quickly erased five minutes into the second half as the Raiders came out strong in the second half to take the lead with 10 minutes to go.
But, LCC held their composure and continued to work the inside with sophomore
Carter McCoy hitting key shot to secure the 70-57 win.
The Devils as a team shot 55.6% from the FT line, 32% from 3pt arch, and hit 46.4% from the floor.
Kobe Parlin lead with 20 points and 7 rebounds
McCoy had his 5th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 boards.
David Young added 14 points
Malik Brown had 7 points and 12 rebounds.
The win puts the Red Devils at the top of the west region standings at 4-0.
Next up for Lower Columbia is a road game on Wednesday, January 24, at Centralia College. Tip is set for 7:00 pm.
