(Aberdeen, WA) Red Devils heat up in second half to take the 81-66 win over the Grays Harbor Chokers.
The Devils got off to a bit of a slow start, missing their first couple shots, but quickly turned it around thanks to some great defensive play by freshman
David Young. The Red Devils largest lead of the first half was +10 but Grays Harbor was tenacious and tied it up with 39 sec left in the half on free throws.Â
Kaden Horn then hit a 3pt with 34 sec to go, followed by Young getting his 3rd steal of the half to get the ball up court to
Carter McCoy who finds Horn in the corner for another 3 to end the half.
Lower Columbia takes a 6 point lead into the locker rooms at halftime. Â
LCC starts the second half right were they left off with Horn hitting another three. Red Devils never took their foot off the gas from there going up by +17 at 81-64 with 1:15 to go.Â
McCoy was all over the floor as he put up his fourth double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds. He also had 3 blocks and 3 assists on the night.
Horn finished the day with 17 pts, including 4 clutch three pointers, and 5 rebounds.Â
Kobe Parlin had 9 points, 3 rbs, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Young put up 8 points along with 2 assists and 5 steals.Â
Malik Brown came off the bench to add 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.Â
The Devils finished the night shooting 49% from the floor, 40% from beyond the arch, and 80% from the free throw line.Â
Josh Adamsel Jr was the top scorer for the Chokers with 28 points.
