(Kelso, WA) – The Mt. Hood Saints got a no-hitter in completing a double header sweep over Lower Columbia on Thursday April 13
th.
Kylie Parsons got the five inning no-hitter in an 8-0 victory in the first game. Parsons struck out nine and walked four in blanking the Devils. The Mt. Hood offense exploded for 22 hits in a 17-6 win in the nightcap.

Parsons got all the offensive support she would need when Sara Martin lifted a long three-run homer over the scoreboard in the first inning. Breanna Wilson had three hits and three RBI's for the Saints.
LCC could never get going against Parsons. The Devils worked four walks, but were unable generate any offense.
Starter
Alli Heater took the loss giving up eight runs in four innings.
Teeghan Reams pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

The Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one inning. Reams slammed an opposite field two-run homer to get things going against Mt. Hood starter Martin.
But the Saints came right back with two in the second and eight big runs in the third to blow it open. DeLaney Duchek's three run shot and a Kenzie Kosmicki two run homer did the bulk of the damage.
Darby DeRuyter got off to a good start but Hood was just too relentless. DeRuyter went three innings giving up 11 hits and 10 runs.
Sadie Knutson also was effective early but the Saints also got to her for 11 hits and seven runs.
Sunny Bennion went 3 for 4 and scored two runs to lead LCC.
Kennedy Williams had two hits and two RBI's.
The Devils are 8-6 in South Region play, 12-12 overall. Mt. Hood goes to 12-0 in league, 21-1 overall.
LCC steps away from league play when they participate in the NWAC Cross Over tournament in Yakima April 15-16. On Saturday the Devils play Edmonds at 10 am and Wenatchee Valley at 3 pm. Sunday games feature LCC versus Douglas at 9 am and Blue Mountain at 11:30 am. All the games are at the Gateway Facility in Yakima.
