(Kelso, WA) Red Devils softball finally found a break in the rain to play and took full advantage defeating the Clark Penguins 12-10 with 15 hits, 3 errors and 16-6 (5 innings) with 12 hits, 0 errors on Saturday at Heerensperger Field.

Game One
Clark put two runs on the board to start game one but the Devils answered right back with
Sunny Bennion hitting HR number 7 on season to start off the bottom of the 1
st. Followed by a
Sawyer Stenson double, and
Alli Heater knocks a 2 run bomb to make it 3-2. Â
The Red Devils would go on to score in at least 1 run in each inning to take an 12-8 lead in the seventh. Top of Seven, Clark scored two and loads the bases looking to take the lead but the Devils defense holds to get the final out and secure the 12-10 win.
Bennion went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's and a Home Run and a stolen base
Sawyer was 2 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI
Leanna Russell went 3 for 3 with a double and 2 stolen bases
Maliyah Twitty was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles

Alli Heater who threw a complete game with 1 So, 6 BB, and 1 HBP

Game Two
Lower Columbia continued to hit well in game two finishing with 16 runs on 12 hits leading to a 16-6 win in 5 innings. Going into the bottom of the 5
th the Devils had a two run lead and then scored two before Clark changed pitchers. The devils then went on a two out rally scoring two on a Stenson single to make it 12-6. LCC then loaded the bases with a Clark error and a walked batter. The inning was then capped off with a
Destiny Dunlap walk off grand slam.
Dunlap was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 6 rbi's to lead the Devils
Stenson was 2 for 4 on the day with a 2 run HR in the 4
th
Russell went 2 for 3 with a double and an rbi
