(Albany, OR) – The Devils scored the first four points in their season opening game in Albany on Saturday November 18
th.
But the Road Runners of Linn Benton scored the next 12 and took a 12-4 lead.
It was all Red Devils after that.
Kobe Parlin made his college hoops debut with 16 points, two boards, four assists and three steals as the Devils defeated Linn Benton 75-49.
With seven players making their debuts, the Devils showed some good poise and taking control of the game after the early struggles.
Carter McCoy just missed a double-double as he had 15 points and nine rebounds.
David Young was solid with 11 points and six rebounds in his first counting college outing.
Every Devil who played, scored.
Malik Brown came off the bench and did many good things in his 21 minutes. Brown had eight points and eight rebounds.
Camryn Berry, who redshirted last season, was very active up front with four points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.
LCC shot 43 percent from the floor and 27 percent from distance. LCC was 15 for 21 from the free throw line.
T.J. Zimmerman had 11 to lead L-B.
LCC plays in front of the home fans for the first time when they host the Chemeketa Storm at 8 pm on Tuesday November 21
st. The game will follow the LCC versus Clackamas women's game which begins at 6 pm.
