(Longview, WA) – Everybody played, everybody scored and everybody had at least two rebounds.
It was a total team effort for the Lower Columbia men's basketball team as they defeated Centralia 86-63 on Wednesday January 26
th at Myklebust Gym.
The Red Devils had four players in double figures but it was the contributions across the roster that was impressive.
Emanuel Steward paced the LCC scoring with 17 points. The sophomore point guard also had six rebounds and four assists and turned the ball over just once.
Lower Columbia out-rebounded Centralia 56-28.
Carter McCoy came off the Devil bench with 16 points and 11 rebounds. He was able to get loose in the middle of the Trailblazer zone hitting 6 of 9 shots.
Ashton Harvey just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
The LCC reserves outscored the Centralia bench 37-14.
Mekhi Morris had seven points and two steals.
Starters
Sherman Royal III (12 points, 5 boards),
Kaden Horn (9 points, 6 rebounds) and
Jonah Zeller (9 points, 7 caroms) were all effective.
The Devils raised their West Region record to 4-1, 14-5 overall.
It's back on the road for LCC on Saturday January 28
th. The Devils take on Highline (3-16, 0-5) in a 2 pm game in Des Moines.
The Devils return home for a big game Wednesday February 1
st against Green River.
