It didn't take long for Lower Columbia College to seize control.
Kayla Willis scored inside of the first minute and the Devils went on to a 5-1 victory over Centralia Wednesday September 19th at Centralia HS Tiger Stadium.
Willis' early goal was set up by a
Baylee Wright assist.
McKenna Spillett used an
Ashlynn Willis set-up to score and make it 2-0 just before the six minute mark.
Shelby Vermulen scored the first of her two goals when she scored off a Karen Gonzalez assist at 31'. LCC led 3-0 at halftime.
Kaylee Murray got on the board with a goal at 63' on a Spillett assist.
Vermulen then got her 7th goal of the season as she headed in a corner kick from
Sierra Thornock at the 78 minute mark.
Kennedy Werner had nine saves in goal. Centralia lone goal was on a penalty kick.
The Devils jumped into a tie with Tacoma for 4th place in the West Region. LCC is 2-2 in division play, 4-3 overall.
LCC is back home for a match with Bellevue on Saturday September 22nd. The match begins at 12 noon at Northlake Field.
