It took 26 days to complete.

The Lower Columbia at Centralia double header was originally scheduled for Wednesday April 12th. After four rain outs and a severe weather delay, the twin bill was finally completed on Sunday May 7th.

It didn't end well for the Devils.

Centralia completed the halted game with an 8-3 victory and then scored two in the 7th to take a 6-5 win.

Down 4-1 to Centralia when the thunder, lightning and torrential rains hit last Thursday, the Devils resumed play on Sunday and quickly got back into the game when Briana Harvill roped an RBI single on the first pitch of the resumption. LCC got within 4-2 before the Blazers put it away with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Aurora Gouley led the Devils by going 2 for 3 at the plate.  Sam Boyce and Harvill each had an RBI.

Taylor Brooks took the loss going the distance.

In the second game, LCC had a 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the 7th.  Centralia then quickly struck with two runs and won the game in walk off fashion.

Boyce led the way by going 3 for 4 with three RBI's.  Gouley had two hits. Hannah Rothwell had a clutch two-run single in the 6th to give the Devils the short lived lead.

Jessica Gibson took the loss, also pitching a complete game.

The Devils will get another shot at Centralia when they host the Blazers in the regular season finale on Friday May 12th. The 3 pm double-header will feature Sophomore Day at Tam O'Shanter Park.

LCC will travel to Salem on Tuesday May 9th for a double header against Chemeketa at 3 pm.
