It was a disappointing first game for LCC in a South Region double header at Clark College on Sunday April 9
th.

The Devils didn't compound the problem as they came back for a win to salvage a split.

The Penguins held LCC to just three hits in the opener, an 8-3 Clark victory. Madison Plummer was tough in the circle.Â
Jessica Gibson of the Devils had two of the three hits allowed by Plummer.

Gibson went the distance for LCC as just three of the eight runs allowed were earned.

Sam Boyce had the other hit for LCC and
Marissa Gardner had an RBI groundout.

The Devils big inning in the second game was a six-run outburst in the third, turning around a 2-1 deficit at the time. The big hit was
Myranda Krull's two run double.

Hannah Rothwell had two hits and an RBI.Â
Christine Robbins added a hit and an RBI.
Â
Robbins got the win with six innings of solid circle work. She scattered 10 hits and allowed just three runs, two earned, with four strikeouts.

Taylor Brooks closed the door with a strong 7
th, allowing just one single.

The Devils are 6-4 in the South Region as they get ready for a big road double header at Centralia on Wednesday April 12
th. The first game begins at 3 pm.
