Go Fisch! Devils split with SWOCC.

The Red Devil softball team got a great pitching performance from freshman lefty Krystina Fischer in a 5-2 win over Southwestern Oregon on Saturday April 25th.

SWOCC rode a big five-run, eight-hit inning to a 9-3 win in the nightcap.

Fischer was the story in the LCC win, as she struck out a career high 11 batters. Fischer gave up just five hits against the potent Laker squad. She walked just two batters.

The Red Devil offense had 11 hits.  Ashley Kelly had three hits and and two RBI's. Maggie Harshaw had two basehits and an RBI.  Delaney Kelley and Nicole Bolasky each had two hits. Bailey Ellis added an RBI double.

The Lakers had 16 hits against four Red Devil pitchers in the second game. The big frame was the five runs in the 6th, knocking the game out of reach.

LCC had seven hits in the loss, including a double by Sierra Richards.

The Devils are now 6-6 in the South Region, 18-12 overall. LCC is ranked 8th in the latest NWAC Poll.

LCC travels to Vancouver for a double header at Clark on Wednesday at 3 pm.
