The Lower Columbia College softball team bounced back from a tournament opening loss to take three straight at the Yakima Cross Over tournament April 18th and 19th.
The Devils battled hard with North Idaho in the opener, dropping a 9-5 game. After LCC took a 4-2 lead in the third frame, the Cardinals came back with four runs in the bottom of the third and went on from there.
Julia Breidt took the loss, allowing six runs and eight hits in three innings of work. Bailey Ellis came on and gave up three runs on three hits in three frames.
The Devils were led offensively by Maggie Harshaw who had two hits and an RBI. Jenny Hagen had two hits.
The Devils came back on Saturday and beat Treasure Valley 6-1. Krystina Fischer was outstanding in the circle, scattering seven hits and allowing just one unearned run.
 Ashley Kelly had two hits and two ribbies to lead the way at the plate. Nicole Bolasky had a hit, two RBI's and scored two runs.
On Sunday, the Devils took care of Pierce 8-0 in six innings. Sierra Richards RBI double triggered the mercy rule outcome. Chelsey Miller was 4-4, Harshaw was 2 for 3 with two RBI. Madison Barr and Kelly each had two hits and an RBI.
Fischer was again very good, allowing just one hit in five innings. The freshman lefty struck out seven.
In the tourney finale, LCC pounded Yakima Valley 14-1. Ellis got the win allowing just one run in four innings. Kelsey Noble closed it out in the 5th.
Kelly was a homer shy of the cycle, going 3-4 with two RBI. Miller was 2-3 with two RBI. Richards had two doubles. Bolsaky and Barr also had two hits each. Delaney Kelley had a double in her only plate appearance against YVC.
The Devils return to South Region play on Tuesday April 21st, hosting the Clackamas Cougars in a 3 pm double header at Heerensperger Field at Tam O'Shanter Park in Kelso.
