Coming off two league-opening losses at Southwestern Oregon, the LCC softball team bounced back with a pair of home victories over Clark on April 4th.
The Devils beat the Penguins 7-2 and 5-0.
Clark got the Devils attention in game one by jumping out to a 2-0 lead. But LCC countered with seven straight runs, including three-run innings in the third and fourth innings.
Chelsey Miller led the way by going 2 for 4 including a homer and 2 RBI's. Ashley Kelly also went deep, driving in 2 runs. Nicole Bolasky, Sierra Richards and Lexie Rodriguez also had two hits each.
Julia Breidt came on in relief and provided six innings of shutout ball, allowing three hits and five strikeouts.
The Devils got a great outing from pitcher Krystina Fischer in game two as the freshman lefty allowed just four hits in a complete game shutout.
Bolasky had a two run double to lead the way. Jenny Hagen had an RBI single. Miller and Maggie Harshaw also had two hits each.
The Devils are now 2-2 in league as they get ready to host Mt. Hood on Wednesday April 8th.
