The Lower Columbia Red Devils are in a battle to get to the postseason and they found out the Green River Gators are part of the fight.

Four Red Devils fouled out and Green River took advantage with 38 free throw attempts in a 78-67 victory on Wednesday February 11th in Longview.

The Gators used the shot clock and turned up the defense to get a win that bring them within a half game of the Devils in the West Region playoff chase. The Devils are 8-4 after the loss, while the Gators are now 7-4.

Ryan Lee led LCC with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Lee fouled out along with Taylor Drey, Jamie Ford and Kyle Bobo.  Drey had 12 points and Bobo had 11. Jeremy Burright scored 10 points with five boards.

The Devils were outrebounded 38-24 and the Gators outscored LCC 28-19 at the free throw line.

Several of the Devils were feeling under the weather, but Green River was the team that brought the intensity.
