An overtime loss at home has put the LCC men's basketball team in position where they will have to scratch and claw right down to the final game.
The Pierce Raiders outscored the Devils 9-5 in the overtime to come away with an 80-76 win on Wednesday February 18th at Myklebust Gym.
Despite 24 points from Michael Dupree and Ryan Lee, the Raiders had five players in double figures. LCC is now 8-5 in the West and tied with Green River for the final playoff spot. The Raiders jump LCC into third place at 9-5.
The Raiders shot 47 percent and out-rebounded the Devils 44-36. Pierce also got 22 points off thier bench while LCC had no scoring from the reserves.
Jeremy Burright had a solid game with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
The loss puts LCC in a near-must win situation with three games left. The Devils are at Tacoma Saturday at 4 pm, then travel to Centralia Wednesday February 25 and then close out he regular season at home against Grays Harbor on Saturday February 28th.
