A lackluster start followed by a furious finish wasn't enough as the LCC men's basketball team dropped a 74-68 game at Pierce on Saturday January 17th.
The Devils hit just six of 48 shots in the first half and Pierce was able to take advantage for a 42-20 lead at the half. The Raiders shot 54 percent in that first half.
LCC ramped up the intensity in the second half, and they solved the Raider zone hitting nine of 17 3's. The Devils got the lead down to four inside of four minutes bu the Raiders hit thier free throws and held on for the victory.
Michael Dupree led the Red Devi8ls with 23 points and four assists. Taylor Drey had 15 ponts, six rebounds and two steals. Jared Roffler provided a spark with six points and four rebounds. Jeremy Burright had eight points and eight rebounds.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-2 in West Region play and 11-7 overall. LCC will host Tacoma Wednesday January 21st at the Mark Morris Gym. Tip off is set for 8 pm. You can watch the game on the internet at tofervision.com/lcc
