TUKWILA, WA. — Lower Columbia College (1-1) secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Portland Community College (0-1) on Tuesday at Starfire.
The Red Devils' offense dominated with 11 shots on goal, while its defense maintained a shutout with two saves.
Sam Roundtree scored one goal and took four shots, all of which were on target.
Maylee Reynolds added two goals, including the game-winner, with three shots on goal.
Addison Hartley contributed with an assist and made one shot on goal.
Ada Labowitz also recorded an assist and had a shot on goal.
Wednesday, August 19
Lower Columbia (2-1) secured a 2-0 victory over Blue Mountain (1-1) on Wednesday at Starfire in day two action at the NWAC Friendlies.
The Red Devils' defense was strong, with its goalkeepers,
Leeann Williams and
Haley Loll combining for eight saves to maintain the clean sheet.
Addison Hartley scored the first goal for the Devils at the 19 min mark. Hartley had two shots, with one on target.
Maylee Reynolds led LCC with five shots, three of which were on goal.Â
Hannah Fay had a rocket of a shot on goal that bounced off a Timberwolves defender and into the net. Goal was recorded as an own goal by Blue Mountain.
Looking ahead, Lower Columbia will face Lewis & Clark College in an exhibition match on Monday, Aug. 24. The game will be held at Northlake Soccer Field in Longview, Washington, with a kickoff set for 4 p.m.
