Devils Extend Win Streak to 14

CENTRALIA, WA — The Lower Columbia College baseball team delivered back-to-back shutouts on the road, sweeping a doubleheader against Centralia on April 11, 2026, at Bob Peters Field. Dominant pitching and timely hitting pushed the Red Devils' overall record to an impressive 28-7.

Game 1: Lower Columbia 10, Centralia 0

In the opening matchup, Caden Spanier was untouchable on the mound, tossing a one-hit shutout over seven innings to earn his second win of the season (2-0). Spanier struck out eight batters and did not issue a single walk during his commanding performance.

The Red Devils' offense gave Spanier plenty of run support, ultimately securing a 10-0 victory. After getting on the board with two unearned runs in the third inning , Lower Columbia's bats caught fire for a five-run rally in the sixth.

  • Jackson Wendt ignited the sixth-inning surge with a two-run double to right field.

  • Jackson Noonan immediately followed with an RBI double to left.

  • Karsten Hansen kept the line moving with an RBI triple to center.

  • Keagan Kelly capped off the frame with an RBI single.

The Red Devils tacked on three more runs in the seventh inning. The scoring was highlighted by an RBI walk from Sam Davidson and a two-run single to center field by James Cote. Cote finished the game with two hits, a double, and two RBIs. Keagan Kelly also had a big day at the plate, tallying two hits and three RBIs.

Game 2: Lower Columbia 3, Centralia 0

The Red Devils completed the sweep with a 3-0 victory in the nightcap, relying on a combined shutout from the pitching staff. Justin Fuller got the start and pitched five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three to pick up the win (2-1).

Karsten Hansen provided the early offensive spark, blasting a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put LCC up 1-0. The Red Devils extended their lead in the fourth when Keagan Kelly delivered an RBI single to right field, scoring Hansen. James Cote added a final insurance run in the seventh inning by driving in Sam Davidson, who had doubled earlier in the frame.

The Lower Columbia bullpen was flawless in relief to preserve the shutout.
