Lower Columbia Softball capped its record regular season on Friday with a pair of 7-1 wins over Centralia. The second game win pushed the Devils season record to 43-0, matching the 2006 team's previously best ever 43 wins in a season.

The Red Devils move on to the 16-team, double elimination NWAC Championships beginning on Thursday, May 15 at Delta Park in Portland. LCC is the top seed and will meet Clark College on Thursday at 1:00 PM on Field #3. Win or lose, LCC will play again at 6:00 PM on Thursday.

The championship game is on Sunday at 11:00 AM. Lower Columbia's last NWAC title was in 2008. The 2012 and 2018 teams finished second and last year LCC placed third.

Game one: Lower Columbia 7, Centralia 1 –
Jadyn Terry (WP) and
Cerenity Fake (save) combined on a six-hitter as the Devils took the opener. Terry struck out six Blazer hitters in her 4 2/3 innings in the circle, to stretch her record to 9-0. Fake closed it out, allowing just two hits in her 2 1/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Allison Baumgart was the Red Devil hitting star, going 3-3 with a home run, double and single and three RBI. Her first inning bomb, her 13
th on the season, put LCC up 3-0.

Emma Langsi added an RBI single in the fourth inning and
Brooklyn Loose hit her 17
th home run in the fifth, to stretch the lead to 5-1.
Lexi Grumbois hammered an RBI double in the seventh and
Joelie Eder followed with an RBI single to close out the scoring.

Game two: Lower Columbia 7, Centralia 1 –
Zoey Hughes dominated in the circle for LCC, going the distance to push her record to 14-0 with a 1.54 ERA, best in the NWAC. The Battle Ground freshman scattered six hits, walked two and struck out nine Blazers.

With three Centralia pitchers combining to walk 17 the Red Devils could not fully capitalize, with just four hits and stranding 16 runners for the game.

Baumgart had two more hits, including a double and two RBI.
Gabi Silveria and Eder had the other two Red Devil hits.
