(Longview, WA) Devils baseball took two from Edmonds on Friday, March 14, then went 3-1 vs Columbia Basin in a four game series on Sunday, March 15, and Monday, March 16 at David Story Field. Devils are now 19-1 on the season.
Friday, March 14 vs Edmonds Tritons
GAME ONE
Lower Columbia remained undefeated with a dominant 11-1 victory over Edmonds at David Story Field in Longview, Washington. The Red Devils exploded for seven runs in the second inning and never looked back, improving their record to a perfect 14-0.
The offensive onslaught was led by Brayden Oram, who went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored.
Jace Nagler also had a strong showing, going 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Harlan Rowe reached base three times, scoring twice and adding a hit and a walk.
The Red Devils tallied ten hits as a team while drawing six walks and capitalizing on four hit batters.
On the mound, Kaden Larson delivered a stellar performance, tossing seven innings of one-run ball. He allowed just five hits and three walks while striking out four. The right-hander kept Edmonds off balance all game, inducing nine flyouts and six groundouts to help secure the win.
Lower Columbia's defense was equally impressive, playing error-free baseball and converting all 21 outs efficiently.Â
GAME TWO
Lower Columbia took a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Edmonds in the second game of their doubleheader at David Story Field. The Red Devils' offense delivered clutch performances late in the game, while the pitching staff held strong in key moments to secure the win.
Offensively, Lower Columbia racked up nine hits, with Nagler leading the charge. He went 3-for-4, reaching base four times and scoring a run.
Owen Cummins and Drew Abercromb provided the key run production, each driving in two RBIs. Cummins came through with a sacrifice fly and a timely single, while Abercromb's two-out hitting proved crucial. Sam Davidson and Brayden Oram also contributed with a hit and two runs scored each.
On the mound, Chase Kreuger picked up the win, throwing four strong innings in relief allowing two runs on two hits. He struck out 7 and worked around two walks to keep Edmonds from adding to their lead. Wyatt Macdonald threw three innings in relief for an injured Dante Santulli who started the game, battling through 3 innings, allowing two earned runs on two hits while striking out five. Matthew Kosderka earned the save in a shutdown 9th inning, with a strike out and no hits. Together, the Red Devils' pitching staff combined for 13 strikeouts, holding Edmonds to just four hits.
The game remained close throughout, with Lower Columbia trailing at multiple points before tying it in the fifth and taking the lead for good in the eighth. The Red Devils took advantage of their opportunities, drawing eight walks and executing four sacrifice bunts to manufacture runs. Despite committing three errors, they made key defensive plays, including a double play, to minimize Edmonds' threats.
Sunday, March 16 vs Columbia Basin Hawks
GAME ONE
Red Devils dropped their first game of the season 1-0 to Columbia Basin to start of Sunday's double header at Story Field.
The only run of the game game in the top of the third as the Hawks Ethan Stewart singled and the stole second. Setting up Caleb Eisenhowe for the Sacrifice Fly scoring Stewart.Â
Lower Columbia were just unable to get anything going vs the CBC LHP, Brayden Walls, who went the distance pitching a complete game for the win. Walls had 6 SO, 2 hits, and 4 walks.
The Devils pitchers threw well.
Chayse Oxborrow got the start throwing 7 innings with 4 SO, 2 walks, 7 hits, and 1 earned run.
Ryan McClaskey pitched 2 innings of relief giving up 2 hits and striking two out.Â

GAME TWO
Columbia Basin looked like they were going to take game two on the day after they put up 3 runs in the top of the second on 2 hits.Â
Lower Columbia's
Owen Cummins hit his first collegiate home run in the bottom of the second to make it 3-1 CBC. That score would hold until the bottom of the sixth when LCC's
Blake Mattern hit a double.
Sam Davidson followed with his first collegiate home run, plating two and tieing it up at 3-3.Â
Oram than reached on an error.
Harlan Rowe than steps up to hit and rbi single to give the Devils a 4-3 lead before the Hawks can retire the side.Â
LCC Pitcher
Kaden Harris sutdown the Hawks in the seventh to earn the win. Harris put in three inngs of work striking out 2, allowing only 1 hit, with 1 hit by pitch.
Caden Spanier got the start and put in 4 innings, striking out 4 with 2 earned runs, and 1 walk.
Monday, March 17 vs Columbia Basin Hawks
GAME ONE
Lower Columbia rallied late to secure a 7-3 victory over Columbia Basin at David Story Field, improving their record to 18-1 on the season. After being held scoreless through the first five innings, the Red Devils erupted for four runs in the sixth and added three more in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
Sam Davidson sparked the offense, going 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. He also reached base via a walk and a hit-by-pitch, swiping a bag in the process.
Brayden Oram delivered a clutch two-run single, finishing 1-for-4 with a walk.
Jace Nagler contributed with an RBI and a run scored despite going hitless.
The Red Devils took advantage of nine walks issued by Columbia Basin's pitching staff, showing patience at the plate.
On the mound, Quinn Hubbs turned in a dominant performance, striking out 10 batters over six innings while allowing just three hits and no walks. Hubbs stayed solid after a CBC 2 rbi, home run, keeping Columbia Basin's offense in check.Â
Despite committing one defensive error, Lower Columbia played solid defense, highlighted by strong infield play from Nagler, who recorded four assists and two putouts at second base. The Red Devils left 11 runners on base but capitalized when it mattered most, producing key runs with two outs.
GAME TWO
The Red Devils finished off the 6 game stretch with a 3-0 win to go 5-1 on the weekend.
LCC's three runs game in the bottom of the 1st as the devils took advantage of a Davidson walk. Nagler singled putting Davidson on third. Nagler steals second. Cummins singles, advancing to second on a throw to home, scoring Nagler and Davidson. Mattern then singled to score Oram.Â
After the hot start the it became a pitchers dual has both sides mostly went three up three down.Â
Columbia Basin had a chance in the top of the 7th has they loaded the bases with 2 outs. But Devils pitching held strong has

Dante Santulli got the win for the Red Devils with 3.1 IP, with 7 SO, 1 hit, and 4 walks.Â

Lower Columbia's next series will be this weekend, March 22-23, vs the Big Bend Vikings at David Story Field. Both Saturday and Sunday's games have 12:00 pm first pitch.Â
