(Tacoma, WA) Lower Columbia secured a commanding 71-57 victory over Tacoma on February 19, pulling away in the second half after a tightly contested first period. The Red Devils outscored the Titans 37-20 in the final 20 minutes to improve their record to 23-4 on the season.

Keshawn Lewis led Lower Columbia with 15 points on an efficient 5-for-9 shooting, including 2-for-5 from three-point range. He also contributed a rebound and a steal in his 28 minutes on the floor.

James Grose added 13 points, shooting 3-of-8 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Amir Locus provided a well-rounded performance with 12 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Malik Brown chipped in 11 points.

The Red Devils shot 39.7% from the field and knocked down eight three-pointers, but their dominance at the free-throw line (85%) proved crucial. They forced 13 Tacoma turnovers and capitalized with 17 points off those mistakes.

Tacoma, now 15-11 on the season, was led by KeVaughn Harvey, who scored a team-high 13 points, hitting three three-pointers while also grabbing six rebounds and collecting two steals. Dalton Brown was another key contributor for the Titans with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds. However, Tacoma struggled at the free-throw line, making just 50% of their attempts, which hurt their chances of keeping pace with Lower Columbia in the second half.

With the victory, the Red Devils strengthened their position in conference play as they look to finish strong heading into the postseason.
