Longview, WA - The Lower Columbia College Red Devils volleyball team put on a commanding performance at Myklebust Gymnasium on Wednesday night, overpowering the Pierce College Raiders in a swift 3-0 sweep.

The Red Devils were in complete control from the opening serve, cruising to decisive set victories of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-12.

The story of the match was LCC's stifling defense and efficient offense. The Devils forced the Raiders into 29 attack errors, resulting in a negative .213 hitting percentage for the visitors. In contrast, Lower Columbia's offense was balanced and effective, finishing with a .227 attack percentage.

Sophomore Karissa Otterstetter had a phenomenal all-around match to lead the Devils, filling the stat sheet with 6 kills, 8 assists, 3 digs, 2 blocks, and a game-high 5 service aces.

The offense was well-distributed, as Chesney Schultz and Kendall Humphrey each added 5 kills. Schultz also contributed 2 aces and 2 blocks. Setter Allison Orantes dished out 9 assists, while libero Kamryn Sande anchored the back line with a game-high 11 digs.

The Red Devils also dominated from the service line, collecting 10 aces as a team compared to just 3 for the Raiders. The convincing victory in front of their home crowd of 141 fans was a complete team effort.

Devils have only two games left in the regular season. Friday, October 31, at 6:00 pm, the Devils will have their final home game of the season vs the Tacoma Titans.
This will also be sophomore night and the team will take some time before the match to recognize their five outstanding sophomores.

The final match of the season will be on Wednesday, November 5, in Olympia, WA vs the South Puget Sound Clippers. First serve is set for 7:00 pm.
