(Longview, WA) – The Lower Columbia volleyball team shook off a disappointing road loss at Clark on Friday September 6^th by sweeping Shoreline the next night.

(Vancouver, WA) – Kenny Collins had a big night, but the Red Devil attack was inconsistent in a 3-0 loss at Clark.
 
The set scores were 25-17, 25-22 and 26-24.
 
Collins had 17 kills with a .204 kill percentage.  But as a team, the Devils kill percentage was just .030.
 
Libero Madi Noel had 25 digs and five assists.
 
Allison Orantes collected 16 assists with 10 digs.
 
Samantha Farland had nine kills and 12 digs.
 
Saturday September 7^th
LOWER COLUMBIA 3 SHORELINE 0
 
(Shoreline, WA) – LCC started strong and cruised to a 3-0 victory over a seven-person Shoreline team.
 
The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-14.
 
Collins led the way with 12 kills and an incredible .524 kill percentage.  The Devils as a team achieved a .209 kill percentage.
 
Farland had eight kills with a .278 percentage.
 
Charissa Schierman had 10 assists and six digs.  Orantes had nine assists and seven digs.
 
The Red Devils have a busy week as they host two matinee matches prior to the Mt. Hood Cross over.
 
Skagit Valley comes to Longview for a 1 pm match on Wednesday September 11^th.  LCC hosts the defending champion Linn Benton Roadrunners for a 1 pm match on Thursday September 12^th.
 
The tournament in Gresham begins with LCC against Columbia Basin at 12 pm Friday.  LC then takes on Whatcom at 2 pm Friday.  Saturday LCC will compete with Rogue at 9 am.  There will be one match Saturday, TBD.
