(Longview, WA) – The momentum game that is college volleyball was in full display on Wednesday September 11
th.
The Skagit Valley Cardinals turned an 0-2 deficit into a five set victory, defeating Lower Columbia 3-2 at Myklebust Gym.
Set scores were 20-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-19 and 15-10.
The Devils came out strong, winning the first two sets with fire and efficiency. But Skagit (8-2) had other ideas and came away with an impressive road victory.
Samantha Farland led LC with 15 kills and 11 digs.
Kenny Collins had 13 kills and 14 digs.
Madi Noel collected a team-high 22 digs.
Charissa Schierman handed out 19 assists and
Allison Orantes was right behind with 18 assists.
The Devils turn right around and take on the three-time defending champion Linn Benton Roadrunners at 1 pm on Thursday September 12
th.
