The talented Road Runners defeated Lower Columbia 3-0 on Thursday September 12
th.
Give LCC credit as they didn't shy away from the challenge and averted one match-point in an entertaining third set.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 26-24.
Kenny Collins led the net attack with 11 kills.
Samantha Farland had 10 kills. Both Collins and Farland had six digs each.
Layni Brandhorst had a solid match with eight kills for LCC.
Madi Noel was the top defender with 10 digs.
Allison Orantes and 13 assists and
Charissa Schierman added 12.
Rowan Reilly had 13 kills to lead Linn Benton.
The Devils will play in the Mt. Hood Cross Over in Gresham Friday and Sunday September 13-14.
LCC opens with Columbia Basin Friday at 12 pm, then follows with Whatcom at 2 pm. Saturday LCC takes on Rogue at 9 am and then has one more match in bracket play.
