(Des Moines, WA) Five players put up double digit scoring efforts as the Red Devils sailed to an 85-38 win over the Highline Thunderbirds.
The Red Devil ladies forced 29 turnovers and had 22 steals vs the T-birds on Saturday, February 24. Lower Columbia held Highline to only 18 points in the first two quarters while putting up 51.
LCC shooting was also on target Saturday with the Devils going 48.5% from the floor and 57% from the FT line.
Freshman
Payton Torrey was outstanding coming off the bench for the LCC earning her first double-double as a Red Devil with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Torrey also had 6 steals and 2 assist.
Maris Baklund also came off the bench putting up 13 points.
Karlee VonMoos added 12 points and 7 rebounds.
Dylan Mann had 11 points and 5 rebounds on the night.
Bailee Larson put up 12 points and pulled down 7 boards and dished out 4 assists.
Kayla Kasubuchi added 8 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals
Morgan Hamilton also had 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win sets up a big match-up this Wednesday, February 28, as the Devils will face the Green River Gators, at Tacoma Community College, with the west region championship on the line. Tip is set for 5:30 pm.
