Devil Sweep Tacoma with All-Around Performance, 3-0

(Longview, WA) Lower Columbia dominated the match against Tacoma, winning in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-19). From the outset, they showed strong offensive and defensive performances across all three sets, consistently maintaining pressure on the Titans and capitalizing on their errors.

First Set: The Red Devils started strong with 12 kills and 2 blocks. Although Tacoma kept the score close, Lower Columbia's consistent attacking, led by Samantha Farland, gave them the upper hand. The set saw only two ties, with the Devils taking the lead after a series of Titan attack errors and winning the set 25-20.

Second Set: The second set was even more one-sided, as Lower Columbia improved their serve game significantly, racking up 6 aces. Despite Tacoma's attempt to rally, they struggled to find their rhythm, committing several attack errors. Devils took advantage of these mistakes, closing out the set 25-14.

Third Set: While the third set was more competitive with multiple ties, Lower Columbia's offensive power continued to shine. With a balanced attack, including 12 more kills, they gradually pulled ahead. Tacoma showed some resilience, but Lower Columbia ultimately sealed the set 25-19.

Overall, the Red Devils displayed a well-rounded game with contributions from multiple players. Their serve game (11 aces), solid defense (62 digs), and aggressive offense (35 kills) overwhelmed the Titans, whose attack errors and service inconsistencies (7 service errors) made it difficult to sustain momentum.

Devils victory over Tacoma was fueled by standout performances from several key players, showcasing their dominance on both offense and defense. Tacoma had a few notable efforts but struggled to keep pace with the balanced attack from Lower Columbia.
