(Longview, WA) Lower Columbia and Pierce is always a great match up, and Saturday's game at Myklebust was no different, as the Red Devils came out on top 82-61.
LCC came out strong shooting 64% in the 1st period but Pierce kept it close with the largest lead of the period was the Devils up by 9, 25-16.
Lower Columbia got up by as much as +14 in the second period but the Raiders were resilient and cut that lead to only 6 at the half, 37-31 Devils.
In the third period the Red Devils pulled away going up by +19 at the end of the period, 63-44. This was due in large part thanks to some great free throw shooting. The Devils went 10-12 from the charity stripe while the Raiders struggled only hitting 4 of 10 FT chances.
The Devils continued to slowly and methodically put points on the board in the 4th, to get the 82-61 win.
Leading the Red Devils was freshman forward
Karlee VonMoos, who put up 14 points and pulled down 7 boards.

Morgan Hamilton continued to be outstanding with 13 points, 3 rebound, 4 assists, and 6 steals.
Reigha Niemeyer had a great night with 12 points and 4 assists.
Bailee Larson added 12 points.
Leslie Luna was the top scorer for the Raiders with 20 points on the nights.
The win puts the Devils in a three-way tie for first in the west, at 3-0, with Centraila and Green River.
