(Tacoma, WA) – The Lower Columbia women's team got NWAC West Region play off to a flying start as they scored the first 34 points of the game and went on to blowout Tacoma 94-26 on Wednesday January 10
th.
TCC didn't even get a shot up in the first five minutes of the game. It wasn't until Lower Columbia was ahead 34-0 when Tacoma finally got a shot to drop. The winless Titans had trouble getting the ball to forecourt against the Devil pressure. Jalayah Cook of Tacoma finally scored with 7:49 left in the second quarter.
Every Red Devil played and every Red Devil scored.
Morgan Hamilton was the leading scorer with 21 points in 20 minutes of action.
Bailee Larson had 20 points, six boards, three assists and two steals.
Kayla Kasubuchi had 14 points and four assists.
The Devils largest lead was 69 points and it came before halftime.
Lower Columbia will be off on Saturday January 13
th because Grays Harbor College does not have a women's team this season. LCC returns to play Wednesday January 17
th when they host South Puget Sound at 5:30 pm at Myklebust Gym.
