(McMinnville, OR) – The Lower Columbia softball team mixed in a non-league double header Monday May 8
th and took a pair of games from Linfield University in McMinnville.
Bella Aspaas drove in two runs and
Teeghan Reams hit her 18
th homer of the season as the Devils won the first game 7-6.
Sadie Knutson got the win and
Darby DeRuyter the save.
Sunny Bennion made a diving catch in left to help stave off the Wildcats in the last inning.
Alli Heater went five scoreless innings in the second game as the Devils won 3-0. Bennion had a two run double in the sixth. Reams came on in the sixth the get the save.
The Devils are 24-18 overall.
LCC will close out league play Friday afternoon when they host Southwestern Oregon in a 3 pm doubleheader at Tam O'Shanter Park. The Devils sophomores will be honored in a between games ceremony.
