Heater was on point the entire game. She allowed just four singles, walked one and struck out five. The freshman from Yakima also helped herself on defense as she resembled a goal keeper with six infield assists.
The Devils offense started strong with two runs in the bottom of the first including a sacrifice fly by
Teeghan Reams and an RBI single by
Raychel Squibb. But LCC couldn't get the offense going after that.
Leanna Russell added an RBI single in the 4
th inning.
It was all Heater would need to get the victory.

That Devils offense had no trouble getting started in the second game. After scoring three in the first and three in the second, the Devils unloaded for nine runs on 10 hits in the third inning alone.
Teeghan Reams was everywhere. She ended up 4 for 4 at the plate with five RBI's. Her two-run homer highlighted the big third frame. It was her 14
th homer of the season.
When Reams wasn't hitting, she was dealing from the circle. Reams retired the first 10 batters she faced and completed the five-inning complete game victory, allowing just two base hits. The LCC defense got a bit squirrely late in the game as the Blazers plated two in the 4
th and four in the 5
th. Just two of the six Centralia runs were earned. Reams struck out five and walked three.
There were plenty other Red Devil hitting stars in the nightcap.
Sawyer Stenson was 3 for 4 with three RBI's. Russell was 3 for 4 with two RBI's and three runs scored. Heater went 2 for 3 with two RBI's and collected her first college stolen base.
Sunny Bennion had three steals to add to her team leading total of 29. She had two steals in the first game. Squibb was 2 for 4 at the plate.
Sadie Knutson got her first college RBI with a pinch-hit single in the third inning explosion. The Devils had 19 hits in the game.
LCC moves into third place in the South Region at 14-6, 21-13 overall.
The Devils take a seven game win streak to Gresham for a doubleheader with second place Mt. Hood on Saturday April 29
th. The action begins at 12 noon.
