(Longview, WA) – The early season shooting woes continued for the LCC women's basketball team. Clackamas opened it's season with a big road win, downing the Devils 71-65 on Tuesday November 21
st.
The Red Devil defense is keeping them in games at this point. The Cougars were pressured into 29 turnovers.
LCC shot 35 percent from the floor and just 19 percent from beyond the three-point line. But the misfires that really cost them in this game was at the free throw line where the Devils were just 12 for 25.
Reigha Niemeyer led LCC with 17 points, four rebounds and two steals.

Bailee Larson was held to just five points. She did plenty of other things as she collected seven rebounds, had three assists, five steals and two blocks.
Dylan Mann came off the bench and scored six points with seven boards.
Morgan Hamilton scored 11 points, also off the bench.
Kayla Kasubuchi had seven points, six assists and three steals.
Courtney Swan had nine points, three rebounds and three steals.
Jaycee Stiegler led Clackamas with 15 points.
LCC is 2-1 on the season and will return to action at the Pirate Classic in Portland Angeles, December 1, 2, and 3. LCC opens with Bellevue Friday December 1
st at 2 pm. Whatcom and LCC will square off Saturday December 2
nd at 1 pm. Lower Columbia then plays the host team Peninsula on Sunday December 3
rd at 2 pm.
