(Longview, WA) -- The Red Devils cruised to an 8th straight win defeating the Tacoma Titans 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-17) on Wednesday, November 1, at Myklebust gymÂ
Before the match it was time for some celebration as LCC honored its six sophomore players on their final home match of the regular season.

Alex Tinsley,
Kate Onespot-Danforth,
Brooke Parsons,
Kambree Baker, and
Kate Johnson received recognition for their work on and off the court over the past two years. These six players will be missed next year, but first, they have some work to complete this season.Â
After the ceremony, Lower Columbia got to work and took care of business.Â
Johnson lead the Devils with 7 kills and 2 blocks.Â
Chinchen had 6 kills and 2 blocks.
Baker added 3 kills and 5 blocks.
Freshman
Samantha Farland and
Cheyenne Wetlesen both had great nights at the net with 4 blocks each. In total the Devils had 13 blocks on the night.
Onespot-Danforth added 2 kills and 11 assists
Kendal Collins continued to be big for the Devils with 3 kills, 3 service aces, and 6 digs. At one point in the second set Collins had 11 straight serves with 2 ace serves.
Tinsley also had 6 digs on the night with 8 assist, 2 service aces, and a kill.
The win keeps Lower Columbia in a first place tie with Highline at 10-1 on the season.
One more win and the Devils will get the #1 seed for the NWAC Championship Regionals.Â
The Devils will look to get that win on Friday night at Green River. The match, set for 7:00 pm, will be at Auburn Mountainview high school due to issues with the gym floor at Green River College. Â
