(Longview, WA) – It was all you would expect when Highline and Lower Columbia get together in volleyball.
The Thunderbirds outlasted the Red Devils 3-2 Wednesday September 29
th at Myklebust Gymnasium.
Lower Columbia kept battling back from deficits all night long. Highline won a close, tense opening set 27-25. The Devils came back to win the second set 25-17. The T-Birds took the third set 25-22. LCC bounced back to win the 4
th set 25-19.
The deciding set was close, but Highline got the points they needed at the end to win 15-13.
Lower Columbia actually outscored the Thunderbirds 110-103.
Playing without middle blockers

Kambree Baker due to injuries,
Y Ta stepped in and provided six kills with a .231 hitting percentage.
Jayden Foster led LCC with nine kills.
Paige Chinchen had eight kills and 17 digs.
Kate Johnson had eight kills.
Brooke Parsons had seven kills.
Alex Tinsley led the Devils with 21 assists.
Kate Onespot-Danforth distributed 19 assists.

Jazzy Golly with 23.
Rebecca Zenger had 13 kills to lead Highline.
The T-Birds took over sole possession of first place at 3-0. The Devils dropped to 2-1, 16-4 overall.
Lower Columbia has the bye on Friday. The Devils next match is Wednesday October 5
th at South Puget Sound. Start time in Olympia is 7 pm.
