(Centralia, WA) – A rivalry road victory happened for the Lower Columbia volleyball team on Friday September 23
rd.
LCC took care of business with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 sweep of the Centralia Trailblazers.
Alex Tinsley had 21 assists and 14 digs to lead the way.
The Devils were digging it against a Centralia attack that struggled with a minus .512 kill percentage.
Arianna Vreeland had a team-high 24 digs,
Katy Cooper had 20 digs and
Paige Chinchen added 17 digs. Six Red Devils had over 13 digs in the match.
The LCC net attack featured
Jayden Foster with eight kills,
Kate Johnson with seven and Chinchen with six.
Chinchen also had four aces to lead the serving effort.
The bad news was the injury to Red Devil middle
Olivia Kelzenberg. She went down in the first set with a knee injury. She will get further testing to find out the extent of the injury.
The Devils stay unbeaten in the West Region with a 2-0 record and 16-3 overall.
LCC hosts a big match on Wednesday September 28
th when the Highline Thunderbirds come to Longview for a 6 pm match.
