(Kent, WA) – The Lower Columbia baseball team exploded for seven runs in the third inning and went on to beat Green River 12-4 Wednesday April 7
th at Hogan park in Kent.
With the victory the Devils go to 3-0 in West Region and 18-5 overall.
Matthew Lewis was a catalyst for the Red Devil offense. Lewis was 3 for 3 with two RBI's and two runs scored.
The key third frame was started with a
Matthew Schwarz triple and then followed by a
Daniel Gernon RBI hit. The Devils tacked on with some key hits and Green River miscues.
Kyle Parkman had an RBI hit.
Grady Finney also provided an RBI hit.
Catcher
Dylan Jester was on base all day. He had an RBI basehit and walked three times.
Brayden Wells started and pitched three innings allowing one run.
Camdem Oram got the victory with 3 1/3 innings of middle relief allowing two hits and a run.
Braeden Munger closed it out with 2 2/3 innings of work.
The Devils will have two games this weekend. Saturday the Grays Harbor Chokers have requested for their home game Saturday to be moved to Story Field. Game time will be 1 pm. Sunday is a big showdown at Tacoma with game time at Minnitti Field set for 1 pm.
