Devils Make It An Undefeated West Title

(Olympia, WA) – The Lower Columbia Women's basketball team is not only West Region Champions, they are undefeated West Champions.

The Devils completed the victory sweep of the league schedule with a 73-62 win at South Puget Sound on Saturday March 5th.

The Devils had to deal with a Clippers team that played very well. SPSCC stayed right with LCC the entire game.  The Red Devils came through in the end to go 12-0 in league and 22-1 overall. It was the Devils 12th straight victory.

Jodi Noyes had yet another outstanding game for LCC. The sophomore post was 10 for 14 shooting and scored a game-high 23 points. Noyes also had eight rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks.

Michaela Harris had 16 points, four boards, two assists and two steals.

The LCC rotation was tightened due to the Clippers challenge.  Paige Mace had six points, four rebounds and three assists.  Chinedu Nnadi had seven points.

Red Devil point guard Katelynn Forner returned to play after missing the previous game due to knee soreness.  Forner was solid with eight points, three assists and six steals.

Because Grays Harbor did not field a team this season, the Devils regular season is over.  LCC will have to wait 12 days before playing another game.  As West champions, Lower Columbia gets the #1 seed heading into the NWAC Sweet 16 tournament Saturday March 19th. The opponent will be learned in the NWAC Selection Show on Sunday March 13th.
