(Kelso, WA) -- The Lower Columbia College softball team finally got South Region play underway on Saturday March 26th and they made it a good day with a double header sweep over the Mt. Hood Saints.
Jade Behic had a huge game in the opener as the Devils beat the Saints 4-2. The Devils then exploded on offense and took the second game 13-9.
In the opener, Behic was in control from the circle as she went the distance scattering nine hits and striking out seven to get the victory. She more than helped herself at the plate as she slammed a three run homer and added a solo shot. Her four RBIs were more than enough to lead the way.
The Devils didn't waste any time in the second game scoring five runs in the first and seven more in the second. Mt. Hood starter McKenzie Kosmicki allowed seven hits and walked six in 1 2/3 innings. 12 runs were charged against her.

Rylee Peters threw three scoreless innings before she ran into trouble in the fourth. Peters gets the win and
Darby DeRuyter gave up a run in two innings of relief.
Katelyn McGough led the Devil offense by going 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs.Â
Mallory Brown had two hits and drove in two.Â
Maddie Curaming had three hits and two RBIs. .
LCC is 2-0 in the South Division. The Devils have added a non-league twin bill Wednesday March 30th at the Pacific Lutheran JV's. Game time is set for 10:00 am.
The Devils return to league play Saturday April 2nd with a double header at Southwestern Oregon.
