(Lakewood, WA) – The Lower Columbia women's basketball team clamped down the defense and rolled to a 65-33 victory over Pierce on Saturday February 19
th.
The Devils forced 40 Pierce turnovers and held the Raiders to single-digit scoring in the last three quarters.
Although LCC didn't shoot particularly well (39%), they continued the type of suffocating defensive pressure that has served them well all season long.
Michaela Harris had 10 points, five assists and three steals for LCC.
Jodi Noyes did shoot the ball well, hitting 5 of 6 shots for 12 points. She also had eight rebounds and six steals from the post position.
Danica Schmidt filled the box score with six points, eight boards, two assists, three steals and a blocked shot.
Paige Mace had had eight points, two assists and three steals. Lower Columbia had 27 steals in the game.
Katelynn Forner had four steals to go along with seven points and four assists.
Asia Castillo had seven points for LCC.
Eva Taylor led the Raiders with 12 points.
The Devils are 18-1 on the season and get ready to host the Tacoma Titans on Wednesday February 23
