(Longview, WA) – The Lower Columbia men's basketball team shook off a rough start and rallied to capture an 82-69 home victory over Grays Harbor on Saturday February 12
th.
The Chokers jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first few minutes.
Kyle Gruhler then took it upon himself to change the setting. Gruhler went on a personal 7-0 run to get LCC within one point and then the entire team went on to take a 42-26 lead at halftime.
Gruhler ended up with 14 points. He was 5 for 8 from the floor and 3 of 6 from three-point range.
Dakota Reber scored 15 points with seven rebounds. He had two outstanding dunks, one left handed flush and the other a two hand tomahawk jam.
The Devils got good production from the bench.
Emanuel Steward had nine points and three assists.
Ashton Harvey had eight points and 10 rebounds.
Cole Hardy scored eight points with four boards.
Cameron Holden had six points and five rebounds.

Ky-mani Pollard tallied eight points with five rebounds and a game-high six assists.
Solomon Campbell also had another good night with eight points and seven rebounds.
David Featherston had 20 points to lead the Chokers.
The Devils got the win despite shooting just 12 for 32 from the free throw line (38%).
With the win, LCC goes to 6-1 in the West Region and 14-4 overall. The Devils are tied with Tacoma at 6-1 although LCC did beat the Titans earlier this season.
The Devils hit the road for the next two games. LCC is at Green River on Wednesday February 16
th, 7:30 tip. The Red Devils then play Pierce in Lakewood on Saturday February 19
th.
