(Longview, WA) – The Edmonds Tritons came away with a solid road victory in Longview taking a 68-55 win on Tuesday December 6
th.
Jada Walters had a game-high 21 points to lead the Tritons. Edmonds never trailed and they showed excitement following the non-divisional victory.
The Red Devils had a lot of things working against them not counting the talent and execution of the Tritons. Lower Columbia was playing its fifth game in seven days against top flight NWAC competition and it showed on Tuesday night. The Devils shot just 23 percent in its own gymnasium and the team was just 2 for 27 from three point range.

Jazlynn Novelli, who missed the game to be with family after her great grandmother passed away.

Lucas Myers didn't use it as an excuse. "Give Edmonds credit", he said. "The Tritons showed energy and poise and they played well. I'll give our team credit for making a game of it at the end, but we were just tired."
Ahead 28-20 at halftime, Edmonds took charge in the third quarter and led by 20 points. The Devils chipped away and got within eight points on two occasions but the Tritons hit free throws down the stretch to preserve the victory.
Paige Mace led LCC with 19 points and eight steals.
Katelynn Forner had 11 points.
Aivine Soakai had 10 points and three steals.
Macy Fuller contributed five points and five rebounds.
Katie Hanson led LCC on the glass with seven rebounds.
The packed post-Thanksgiving schedule saw the Devils get a road win at Clackamas, destroy Clark at home, beat Bellevue in Port Angeles, fall short in a comeback at Peninsula and then the loss at home to Edmonds.
Lower Columbia will hope to get some rest before another big game as they will get another shot at Peninsula Saturday December 10
th at Myklebust Gym. Game time will be 2 pm.
