(Longview, WA) – The Peninsula Pirates followed up a home win over LCC last Sunday with a road victory in Longview on Saturday December 10
th.
Peninsula won the latest showdown 71-51. The Pirates shot the ball well and jumped out early and turned away any Devil thoughts of making it a close game.
The Pirates shot 48 percent from the floor and 55 percent from three-point range. The Devils were ice cold on their home floor mustering just 26 percent on all field goals, 27 percent from distance and a woeful 9 for 20 at the free throw line (45%).
Ituau Tuisaula did the damage down low with 26 points to lead Peninsula. Guard Emilia Long had a big game with 24 points for PC.
Devil sophomore Kaitlynn Forner was the bright spot for LCC with 18 points including 4 for 6 from beyond the arc.
Paige Mace was the only other Devil in double figures with 12 points.

The Devils drop to 5-4 with their third straight loss. The team has a chance to recalibrate before next weekend's Cross Over tournament at Treasure Valley College in Ontario Oregon.
LCC will play Edmonds at 5 pm on Friday December 16
th. The Devils play the host team Treasure Valley at 4 pm on Saturday December 17
th. The event finishes with a Sunday 10 am matchup with Southwestern Oregon.
