(Salem, OR) – The Lower Columbia men's basketball team rallied in the second half to keep its record unblemished, defeating Chemeketa 79-68 on Saturday December 3
rd in Salem.
Down five at halftime, the Red Devils outscored the Storm 47-31 in the second half and raised their record to 6-0 on the season.
Emanuel Steward topped all LCC scorers with 17 points. The sophomore from Portland had a solid overall floor game with eight rebounds and three assists.
Sherman Royal III just missed a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Playing in his home town,
Cole Hardy had 12 points, four boards and two assists.
Jonah Zeller had a big impact as he came off the bench for 12 points and four rebounds, three off the offensive glass. Zeller was 4 for 7 from the floor and hit all four of his free throws.
Reserve guards
Mekhi Morris and
Kaden Horn were money at the free throw line. Morris was 5 for 5 at the stripe and scored nine points. Horn hit all four of his free throws and scored six points.
Carter McCoy was working hard on the glass with seven rebounds.
LCC returns home for a game with the Portland Panthers on Wednesday December 7
th. Tip off is set for 7 pm.
